Julia Kemper, Elpenor Blanc de Noir 2019

Julia Kemper originally started life as a corporate lawyer in Lisbon, before her father called her and asked to help in the family vineyards in 2003. She immediately fell in love with winemaking, and has devoted her life to it ever since. Julia now has biodynamic status for all of her vineyards and wines, giving us a true sense of authentic Portuguese wine. Elpenor Blanc de Noir 2019 is a stunning white wine made using the red grape Jaen (Mencía). The nose is delicate with notes of peach, pear, violet and lychee. The palate is elegant and clean, with a good bright acidity carrying the mineral flavour and velvety finish. A great wine to pair with soft cheeses or flaky fish.
